Onsite Training

For organizing onsite training, the NISAGENET team member(s) Dr. R.C.Goyal from the Lead Center, IASRI, New Delhi visited Dr.Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Solan, Himachal Pradesh during 29-30 June, 2006.

The Data Management Application Software for NISAGENET was installed and implemented on the computer system assigned for NISAGENET activities. The IIS and Microsoft .NET framework was loaded and the system has been defined as Local Server for the NISAGENET activities at DYSPUHF, Solan.

The Data Management Application Software for NISAGENET available at local server of the university would serve as a useful tool for the local management of the university/college information; provided the data as per the defined schedules is entered/updated in the system. For data integration at the country level, Data Upload facility in software at the local server is provided for uploading the data to Central Server located at IASRI, New Delhi.

The Nodal Officer Dr. K. R. Sharma (Associate Professor), administrators, associates and the computer professionals Dr. Anil Handa (Assistant Professor), Dr. Amit Vikram (Junior Vegetable Breeder), Dr. Kulwant Rai Sharma (Associate Professor), Sh. Vinod Kumar Kapil (Data Entry Operator), Sh. Baldev Bhardwaj (Data Entry Operator) responsible directly or indirectly for the NISAGENET activities at the university joined the onsite training programme. During this period various issues related to data entry into NISAGENET and its implementation at the university/college level were discussed.
